4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Was this that good? I haven't seen it. But I like when Jim Carey goes serious, plus I saw this cool shot where the camera moves in a 360 and he comes out of frame and back into it with his clothes changed (and I think in a different role, like himiself in a dream). It reminded me of that shot in Manchurian Canidate where the camera does a 360 pan and when it comes back around, the audience of old women turn into The Chinese Army.

1. 2001: a space odyssey(puts all other films to shame)

Incidentally, probably the most excruciatingly boring flick I've ever seen. I'd rather watch House of the Dead.

4. eyes wide shut(it took about 7 viewings, but i'm beginning to see the greatness of this film)

Another one of my most hated... Basically a bad European porno stretched out to 3 hours.

Maybe the best cinematography I've ever seen, though.

Was this that good? I haven't seen it.

It really, really was. It was a terrific script, and brilliantly shot, great performances, and genuniely touching.

Eternal Sunshine was the only movie I've ever seen that left me completely speechless for about 5 minutes after I left the theater. Me and my freind walked out to the car in total silence before one of us managed to utter "wow". It's that good.
