Do you prefer arcade racing games and/or don't have friends that like fighting games? Yes? Then buy F-Zero first. Like I said before:

It's more circumstance then game quality, so no, the comparision doesn't work.

I think to understand this thread, you have to see through the eyes of someone who only has a Gamecube. The easiest way to do this is to be arrested in Rwanda, since that's what they have instead of prison there.

As for SC2 being "too similar", I'd say that Street Fighter 3:Third Strike is just like Street Fighter 2, since all it has are new characters, moves, graphics, backgrounds, modes, and a refined engine.

As far as this thread goes, I think it's pretty obvious that Chessmaster 2000 is the best racing game of all time, even though I was dissappointed that it didn't add any new moves or tracks over Chessmaster '99.

If the thread were "Which is the better game, Fzero GX or War Gods?" would some of you dullards be able to actually answer the question? It's really not that tough a question. Which game do you prefer and why? As TaekwondoNJ pointed out, a lot of people are having a difficult time picking which one to buy that can't afford to drop $100 just because 2 great games came out on the same day.

Sould Calibur2 for me. 2 reasons: I dont like racing games much, and SC2 is quite fun to play against dj.

I might rent Fzero someday, but its not a real priority.

And I agree that it rather pointless trying to compare these 2, since they are different games in different genres.
