Thread: Nike Football Commercials

  1. Nike Football Commercials

Yes, world Football, not North American Football.

    Good Versus Evil:

    http://www.popanime.net/pimpmackdadd...ear/nike01.mpg

Players: Eric Cantona, Ronaldo, Jorge Campos, Ian Wright, Patrik Kluyvert, Fracesco Totti and a couple others.

It's the oldest and has a few players that are since retired or faded into obscurity. Tomas Brolin? He sells shoes now. Yeah...

It's a small team of world Footballers versus the Devil and some demon team in a colluseum.

Still, it's one of the better ones, and Cantona is a pimp.

    8/10.

    The Mission:

    http://www.popanime.net/pimpmackdadd...ear/nike02.mpg

Players: Edgar Davids, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Hidetoshi Nakata, Luis Figo, Oliver Beirhoff, Totti (I think).

    Footballers versus robotic ninjas...

    8/10

    Brazil Airport:

    Players: The Brazil Team

Not a fan of Brazil, but it's a decent effort. Ronaldo looks like an ET. Cantona's in it. That's all I have to say about this one.

    7/10

    The Cage:

    Players: Too many to list.

Cantona returns to work, despite being out of the game for a few years, and he's the host of a caged tournament with 3 man teams. Most of the top players are here, and the soundtrack isn't bad either.

    10/10.

  2. The Robotic Ninjas ad is by far my favorite.

I remember just going "OOOOOOHHH SHIIIIIET~!" when I first saw that thing on TV... just awestruck.

The full version is one of the best sports commercials ever!

  3. I think the only one I haven't seen before was the demon one. I think the Cage one is my fav. Pretty cool to see so many great players. I remember the Brazilians at the Airport one too. It was pretty sweet the first time I saw it.

  4. Game Boy Advance L'Outremangeur

I hate Nike and their hideous cookie-cutter kit designs with a passion...Have you guys seen the new Juve change strip?

Someone call Croatia and let them know their World Cup kit is no longer the ugliest thing ever seen on the pitch.

... ahem, anyway, in spite of the Nike hate - those adverts were decent. Also, despite disliking Brazil - my fave was the airport one. Perhaps becuase of the music.

Oh, and speaking of M. Cantona, he was in Montréal during the film festival for the int'l première of his debut feature film.
