Your favorite action-RPG series

Zelda is an adventure game imo, so I'm not going to count it. Anyway, my choice is between Secret of Mana, Evermore or Diablo 2. I'm really liking Dungeon Siege a lot too right now.

Seiken Densetsu 3 would have been Secret of Mana 2 right? The one where you can choose from like six different characters at the start? Both are just plain amazing games, even if I'm confused on which is which.

I don't really consider Zelda an action-RPG, I consider it action adventure. I'd probably vote for the Mana series, but the ActRaiser/Soul Blazer series is *very* close in my book.

There's not much point to genre arguing. All these games belong in the same category, no matter what you call it. You could just as easily say "Zelda's not an adventure game, you don't type in commands like 'go west' ".

Anyway, there's no contest for this poll as Zelda has the most and best ones overall.

If we limit ourselves to 2d games, then Monster World has a chance against Zelda. Zelda's 3d games, especially Ocarina, are what gives it the advantage.

A poll like this, minus Zelda, would be interesting.
