There's no way we could escape the news, so don't feel bad. The Lizard being in there could be cool, I just hope the movie doesn't turn into a character cluster-fuck like Batman and Robin.

Up until now it was known that Curt Connors would be more prominent in the film, they even got a good actor to play him (that guy from Happiness). I don't know what to feel about this, on one hand who knows how many Spidey movies we'll get, it's good to see more villains realized on the big screen since Spider-Man is one of the few comic characters that actually has many good villains. On the other hand, two villains could mean that neither of them will be fully realised because they'll hog each other's screen time. It could work, though, since Spider-Man 2 won't have to spend a third of the movie telling the Spider-Man origin story. Finally, like Harry said, this could be a spoiler. If I've made anyone mad, sorry, but I doubt they could keep this a secret to everyone before the film was released. My logic is that if you care about Spider-Man then you'll be more excited to see it now, and if you don't then you still don't.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww
Hmm sounds cool, I always liked when Spiderman had to overcome the odds and in this case two tough villains somewhat like Sinister Six.
Hmm, I just hope they will do them RIGHT. No more ridiculous Green Goblin business.
I will go to see it with low epectations, but I hope for the best.
He might not be a villain. Since this is a possible spoiler, it could be something that happens in only a small part of the film. Someone in the AICN talkback suggested that he could end up helping Spidey against Doc Ock. He's sometimes portrayed as having no conscious, just a rampaging animal sorta like the Hulk, right? Another thing, Parker could be working as Connors lab assistant. At the end, Doc Ock and Spidey have a fight at the lab, and a newly reptilian Connors saves the day. Far fetched, but there might be truth to some of it.

hopefully the costumes won't be laughably bad this time
You can see Doc Ock in the poster that was shown a while back. He looks great. As for the Lizard, he'll be cg, so no costumes.
