"Action is very good, lots of shoot-outs, lots of werewolf transformations which are shown very clearly (my favorite being certain character`s first full moon transformation in a police car driven by lycan policemen who, annoyed by his/her transformation screams, turn on the music to the max), one mean sword swing to end all sword swings and only 2 wire-fu scenes where you can see that Beckinsale did wire-stunts herself (sumersault and sword-wielding). Underwold just has this terrific comic book feel."

AFAIK, yes. Desperado summed up everything that happened in El Mariachi well enough that most people still don't know it's a sequel, so chances are they'll either do the same in OUATIM or have it as more of a self-contained story with only references to his previous exploits (the trailer seems like the latter).

I've read that Banderas' El Mariachi character is sidelined for most of the movie and Depp is the main focus. I guess we'll see the extent of this soon enough.
