Thread: Enterprise, season 3

  1. Uh-oh Enterprise, season 3

I watched 3x01 earlier ("The Xindi"). Pretty decent way to start the new season off. I like the whole DS9-esque war theme, although I can't help but think that AOTC material was 'borrowed' with regard to the "comittee" there. I do however like how they've totally discarded Roddenberry's "aliens must look human" philosophy for Star Trek by introducing the various anti-human aliens (the ant and dolphins come to mind here). The new military strike team seemed underwhelming, although I did dig that sniper phaser rifle and stun baton action they had happening.

So, what's everyone who likes Star Trek think?

  2. I'd rather have Babylon 5 reruns.

If they can get the writers from DS9 to do the story and build on it episode by episode, it would bring me something worth watching aside from that volcan chick.

I just saw the last ep. today (again, I mean) and god it hurts to watch them blow B5 up. I remember when it first started airing on syndication and all I could think at the time was how bad a DS9 rip it was. Then it's season 3 and I'm glued to the fucking screen and DS9 is still trapped in suckriosity. I'm a fan of Star Trek but B5 was a bit more realistic a perspective.

  4. If it happens, I called it: Topol (?) and Trip are going to get together. Either that or Topol and the Cap'n. The former relationship I see because of Topol and Trip's anitipithy, the latter because of Topol's fondness for humanity and her willingness to ditch the Vulcan council (or whatever it's called) to help the smelly bi-peds. But the former all the way.

I didn't get to see the whole episode but from what I did see, it seems pretty good so far. Just hope they slow down on the time travel stuff now. I still don't know why they so despirately wanted to have that in this series rather than letting it move on it's own.
Taking it one day at a time.

    and you're a dirty Canadian...so now we're even.

...and your presumption is something that's already been established in the T'Pol character which will gradually unfold over the course of the seasons (or as long as the top brass can hold Trek viewers interest)
