I'd like to thank, PaCrappa, Capt. Veg., Bio, & everyone else who has been ranting about this game. I wasn't too taken with the <5 minutes I spent with the demo, but damn near every poster whose opinion I respect was jumping up and down about P.N 03, So I gave it another shot. I picked it up last night, & I have been loving it. I just beat it on easy & have started a new game on normal. I beat the first stage & then took out all 5 training missions on Pro, which I totally neglected on my previous play through.
TNL is so much better than any mag or review site that I know of.

Redco - Put it on easy & you will have more than enough continues to play with. It really is very easy, so you will get used to it enough that if you dig it, a second playthrough on Normal is very enjoyable. Plus, you can ask here for any tips you may need. I would stress completeing all the training missions before moving on to the next level, you will get lots of practice & tons of money to buy upgrades & new suits with. Those suits will also help ease the difficulty of Normal mode on your second play.

I've been playing straight through normal mode...but everyone else did easy mode first...I feel left out.

I started on Easy because I kept hearing about how difficult Normal got, and I wanted to be sure I had the controls down...plus the Blackbird will definitely help.
Strange - I mentioned in the Otogi thread that I usually don't stick with action games long enough to unlock/complete everything, but first with Otogi, now with P.N. 03, I'm on a serious mission. I am willing to bet that P.N.'s Hard Mode is going to be a serious challenge, but I really cannot wait to take it on. Even Orta didn't have this effect on me.
Lots of reviewers say they want something different, but when they finally get it, they complain about the differences ("Why can't Vanessa strafe?").
I'm super intrigued about that second ending!
Someone on gamefaqs posted that you don't unlock the Papillon suit just by finishing the game twice - supposedly you also have to get Professional rankings on all 50 Training Missions, while also having the Blackbird (unlocked by purchasing all other suits, then finishing the game once). I haven't gotten confirmation of that yet, however.

No, you can earn the Blackbird on any setting as long as you purchase all of the other Aegis suits before you win the game.
Bio, that's rediculous. To get the Papillion all you have to do is finish the game with the Blackbird in your inventory. That's it...and I could have sworn I already told you this.

Are you sure Capt.? Do you have it? I know that is how you do it in the JP release, but I heard the requirements were changed for the US release.
