Yea, it is the X button or something. The problem is there are a few rooms that open with about 7 enemies. 2 of the Pilz tanks in the back: She targets those. Then these bird things teleport in, 4 of them. Then those shield makers teleport in over the Pilz-M tanks. You may know what I am talking about. Anyways after cyceling through the enemies|setting up attacks|dodgeing|shooting all at the same time, the Pilz-M have filled the hall way with thos purple balls and the bat things have kicked my ass, and I am still trying to target the right thing.

Anyways, a drive attack saves my ass there. I don't know if this changes when in Normal, but I have only once [during trial] emptied my entire engery drive meter. Aside from the HUGE lazer things I really only use them in a pinch.

  2. OK yeah, gotcha. True, targeting is a little cumbersome. I think that room you're talking about is one of the more difficult to chain.

The only major differences between Easy/Normal/Hard is that enemies take more damage to kill while Vanessa takes more damage from attacks. The amount of energy that the Drives consume stays the same regardless of difficulty.

I'm personally not shy with using the Energy Drives - they can help a lot with chaining while keeping Vanessa invulnerable. In fact, I actually prefer Level 1 & 2 Drives, especially for the Trial Missions - while they do less damage, Level 3 Drives are often overpowered for anything except bosses (which you don't need to worry about during the Trials of course), and drain too much energy. With Level 1 & 2, you can use em four or five times on a single full meter if your energy supply is maxed.

Really? I see what you mean about the level 1 &2 attacks. It is probably because I am still working through easy. Hell after your Auto is filled up your a powerhouse. I will proably be less shy about my Drive attack in normal. I just keep saying "no need to use that here, you could be introuble later and not have any." Then I end up only using it on bosses or something. Anyways, I really look forward to just blazing through this game after I have enought money for suits just run through the game 2 times or so a night. This game is probably beatable in under an hour and a half right?

  4. I was lucky enough to No Damage and chain the entire game on Easy, and it took under an hour. You can really speed through it once you get familiar with how the rooms are laid out.

Compare that with my first Normal run-through - it took like twelve hours, and that's not counting replays (I was going for the Papillon).

That must be the pinical of the game (well not easy, but.. you know what I mean). That is what I will aim for. I am only wasting time with points for the damn suits.

  6. I am very glad that the interest in this game has been resurected.

  7. Well, $10 price does it for some games

Damn, and I bought mine just 2 weeks ago for $17 !!!!

I had some whole room [10 enemy] combos that I never got points for. I feel stupid.
I just checked again and I still had points when I left a room earlier. Though I have the PAL version.

  9. Man this is a great game, I really should have bought this game sooner. Is it just me or do you guys through this into the same catergory as Gunvalkryie? Sure they technically play differently, but feel the same.

I am at the last level on Easy, or at least "The Client" tells me its the last level, I could be wrong, seems like it though. Also, Professional is the highest rank you can get on a level correct, and then its Destroyer, Amateur, and then Rookie correct? And I have only one trial mission unlocked so far, do I need to get more Professional rankings to get more?
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  10. I actually think of PN03 as GV done the way it should have been done, so I can understand where you are coming from.
