Uh, who's bashing Nintendo? People were just curious as to why you think a crash would be beneficial. The common consensus was that it would be a bad thing, and then you went off on a disturbing tangent.

Calm down, and put your feet up. No need to get all red in the face.

Im also a kiddie asshole that loves Nintendo games.

Im also an jerk for wanting more than just ports of 2-D games on GBA.

Im aslo a morone for wanting 2-D games on a home console.

You are right, I am wrong, have fun with your nintendo bashing.

Have fun with your 3-D movies, that is all.
So if I disagree with you on all points, am I just pissing you off more or giving a compliment?

  4. mario, man you are a true blue homie and I think you and I share the same tastes, but this doesn't sound 'right.' I haven't seen any blatant Nintendo hate here, but then you could dismiss on the sole premise that I've gone off on similar tangents.

Honestly though, if the thread is pissing you off, take a breather away from it.

    progress.

  6. This thread's kind of fallen apart. Nintendo's doing fine, they'll be able to have mild success forever with their current business model. However, they're being run in a far too conservative manner, and businesses run in such a conservative fashion get bought up if the businesses are in an active market (like video games).

I love Nintendo, not anywhere near as much as Sega, but I still personally think they're fantastic. I think it'd be better if they stayed private and maintained their distance from the rest of the market, better for gaming.

However, everything I've learned about managerial accounting tells me that Nintendo's going to be bought out soon unless there's some extreme extenuating factor in the way.

They aren't private now. They are publicly traded on the Japanese stock market.

  8. I was under the impression that over 50% of the stock is still in the hands of the old man and his family, at least.

Ugh, but it was written so poorly... some parts were interesting, most were horrid, random dribble.

And, for the record, each Nintedo sequel (with the exception of the Japanese SMB2 and Majora's Mask) differs more from their prequels than the majority of titles released by other companies when compared to each other.
Tell me the SNES F-Zero and the N64 F-Zero X were similar.
Tell me Zelda 1 and 2 were similar. If you ever played A Link to the Past, you know how vastly, vastly, and I mean vastly improved that was when compared to the original. Ditto for TOoT (although it wasn't as good as LttP, IMO).
I could name the rest, but I'm tired, and those of you that have made up their minds already won't care what I do anyway.

We DO get more than ports on the GBA... Circle of the Moon and now Harmony of Dissonance, Wario Land 4, a few others.

    But keep them ports coming!

  10. Dear SuperMario,

While I understand your strong affection for Nintendo, please cease and desist in making as ass of yourself in this thread. You are tarnishing the reputations of Nintendo fanboys worldwide.
