Thread: Raw 2 today

  1. Is it worse than the previous RAW? I actually didn't think it was all that bad, and if it is the previous game with custom entrance music, I'd be happy.
WARNING: This post may contain violent and disturbing images.

  2. The first Raw's biggest problem as far as I'm concerned was that if you pinned someone, and they kicked out, you were left laying there like you were hurt. Did they fix that BS?

  3. I wouldn't mind picking up Wrestlemania but I don't more than likely I will be playing solo and occasionally multiplayer. I know this is a Raw thread but do you think WM will have enough to satisfy single players?

Then you'll be happy, 'cause it's better than RAW 1.

Same ones that are wrong in WM XIX.

But here's my plan. Anyone who has hosting space, we need to get a collection of all the themes that need to be replaced, edit them to fit in the game, and then post them to a site where everyone can download them.

I have a few that I can edit, like Litas. And, anything that's actually been on a WWE CD, I've got it. I'll gladly edit anything that people send me. For instance, I can edit the real Matt Hardy song to fit properly, but I need the sound effects from the beginning of his video (the typing, loading, etc.) So, if someone can rip all of the songs from Raw2 or WM XIX, and send 'em to me, I can rip the proper intros from them. Like, I can give Victoria "All the things she said" but I need the little scary noise at the beginning of her song.

  6. This all sounds good, enough people get either version of the game, we should have some sort of TNL wrestling league or something, haven't thought about how it would work yet, lol.

Here's the way I see it:

WM XIX is gonna be the best playing game of the 3. It's the one that'll be most fun to play multiplayer, due to the kickass reversal system. PLus, once you finish Revenge mode, you unlock a mode for Exhibition for up to 4 players in which the object is to get your opponents run over by cars. Which is just too fuckin' cool!

Raw 2 plays pretty much like arse, but it's not like, unplayable. Plus, I think the season mode is pretty damn cool, and it's especially cool that you can go through it with 4 people. Being able to add in custom soundtracks is AWESOME, and will help to allow us to keep the game somewhat current, for quite some time.

Smackdown 4 finally won me over, as I never liked the first 3, but I think that SD 4 was a really solid game. From presentation to gameplay, I think it has the best total package of any WWE game yet, and that includes No Mercy. I mean, the actual mechanics of No Mercy are solid, but it looks like poo, and there can be quite a lot of slowdown at times. SD is a solid, although arcadey, game engine. Therefore, I expect SD 5 will be the best overall game of the 3 WWE games this season.

Sadly, I wish I could combine the gameplay of WM XIX, with the custom soundtracks from Raw 2, and the presentation and options of SD 5.

  8. For what it's worth, IGN gave Raw 2 a 9.1.

It's a free read, not "insider" or whatever.

  9. Xbox IGN also thought Tao Feng was a good game.

  10. They also gave Raw a great score. Conversely, I, the guy who will give pretty much anything a 10, gave it a 4, I think.
