What do you like on your hot dog?

Usually plain, though either ketchup or mustard works.

My perfect hot dog goes like this:

First, you lift the hot dog up and put cheese underneath it (this cements the bottom of the bun together so it doesn't get soggy and fall apart). Then, you put (in order) bacon bits, corn relish, green olives, and finally lots of sauerkraut on top. Amazing!

I used to be a die-hard hot dog junkie back when I lived in Toronto and they were the cheapest food on campus. There are zero hot dog vendors in Hawaii, though, so it's been a while since I've had a really good one! At least we've got lots of Spam concoctions to make up the difference.

One good place for hot dogs is Portillo's in Chicago- I checked it out this April during my trip there.

On mine, I'm partial to chili, cheese, and a good shot of Tabasco.

Chili Dogs are good too, and so are the kind that you get in downtown Los Angeles with the bacon wrapped around the hotdog.

Favorite type of hot dog is the italian. Italian sausage on a bun topped with saute peppers and onions.
