Final Fantasy XI pricing announced

Wow... Man, you totally missed the point he was trying to make. Anyways, I'm just glad that the HDD finally has an official date and price structure, FF XI looks to be decent, but not something I'd ever drop $100 on.

Because, uhh, Microsoft invented the idea? I mean, come on, it isn't like it is a HARD conclusion to come to. Once you put a hard drive into a machine, that kind of option becomes obvious.

Paying monthly for game I already had to pay for is the worst thing I have ever heard of. They should jack the price up $10 - $15 instead of charging a montly fee. Suck on my nuts Square, you won't get my money to play a game I had to pay to get.

Not that I'm sticking up for Square since they haven;t put out a game I've enjoyed since Crono Trigger, but servers cost money. If you want to play the game, you need a serve, which means they have to charge to keep it going. So if you think that you can play games without servers like that [much like I do] then just don't buy it. Stick to games that can be operated on small servers that are no charge. fLong story short, don't bitch if you don't like it, just don't play it.

FFXI alone brings it down to a 26GB HDD. I'm getting the HDD free, maybe Square will be nice and give me FFXI with it.

I should hope so, they should send us that same package... otherwise my free hard drive is pointless since I have to buy a bundle with the game and the hard drive

And being since I'm beta testing both Everquest and Final Fantasy XI I can tell you that they are very much alike, FFXI looks better and is Final Fantasy themed but it's definately a lot like Everquest in many ways ... Everquest has werewolves in it though , but on a down not you can't be one ... well at least you can be a wolf

I doubt it's the same place that Microsoft got the idea for allowing the Xbox to play CDs.
