Since I'm one of the few who liked Castlevania 64, i should probably check this out. I think the series is overated, but I love to see what Konami can do with the PS2 hardware, and I'm excited to hear the music.
ncsx.comKonami plans on only producing a mere 10,000 copies of the limited edition which should make it an instant collectible for Akumajou/Castlevania fans everywhere.
The Limited Edition includes a 2003-2004 calendar, a music CD and a piece of artwork by Ayami Kojima.

I just picked the game up. I decided to move on it instead of waiting and having the stores run out of soundtrack CDs. EB has plenty of CDs left by the way.
So far it is fun.... but way too many of the rooms are exactly the same and I can't help but feel that they should have made a real Castlevania...
Chibi, stick with it (I'm sure you would have anyway). It gets much better as it goes on, I was pretty disappointed at the start of the game, but by now I'm really enjoying it.
I hope it gets better. I'm about 8% in, and right now it is quickly heading towards Gamestop store credit towards GBA SMB 3. All I really wanted was the soundtrack CD anyway (which I am quite happy with).![]()
I'll give it one more day...

there's no set order, but the game sort of lures you into going to the middle area first by putting an item on the teleporter. after that i did them from left to right. i'd say that the difficulty is higher to the right than the left, but as there's no real leveling the monsters are roughly equivalent throughout.Originally Posted by EvilMog007
what a waste. you'd only play less than 10% of a game before giving up and waste that cash? it's a decent game, and it's potentially worth playing to hear the music and look at the pretty textures.Originally Posted by Chibi Nappa
also, the boss battles are fun.
and it's only like, 8 hours long.
