Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

Haven't been keeping up to date on news for this.
Is the game hard?

And is this going to be a traditional action game, or is it going to be more like SOTN with rpg stats, items to collect and things?

To best describe the game would be to call it "Castlevania May Cry" because frankly, that is what it is.

There was ZERO platforming in the demo. The camera is fixed ala DMC which could lead to some annoying falls I imagine. But the demo is pretty much grounded. No pits, no nothing.

Well, if that's what the game turns out to be in the final version, I'll have to pass this one up. That sounds horribly blah and horribly non-Castlevania. No platforms? No thanks.

DMC really didn't do it for me, and I was worried that Castlevania would try and copy it in 3D.

Agreed, DMC didn't flick my switch, but the light seems to be on and burning brightly for the masses. I got tired with killing the same thing over and over... and basicallly always in the same way.

But I kinda liked Legacy of Darkness... it's what C64 shoul've been.

While I agree that I don't want Castlevania to be like DMC, I will say that I enjoyed DMC for what it was. Especially the first one.

That said GameHED has the most entertaining (and violent) signature I have seen yet.

A shit load of "hardcore" gamers love DMC to death because of its "new twist on old school action style".

Next month OPM will have a demo of Lament of Innocence.

So if you not sure in the game, you can always try the demo.
