That actually changed the opinion of the audience I was with. When she grabbed the sword and went flying everyone expected that to be the end and for him to fall over. One of the people there yelled out, "That better not be the end!" Then he stood up, turned around, and when his head fell off people actually cheered. It went from what would have been plain out and out bad to good cheesy.Originally Posted by pixelassassin
I disagree. I think the stalling and chunky movements were what gave it all its style and made it look cool. If it had been smoothed out it would've taken away its visual flair, the choppiness really made it look a lot more painful and like the bones were actually shifting. The transition effect was poorly executed. I say this because the head sometimes 'stalled' during the transformation for about 1/2 a second, but that is a lot.Movies tend to make more sense if you actually pay attention to what's going on.He should be so fuckin powerful but he got his ass wrecked by some old dude.
Personally, I pretty much agree with Despair spot-on here, going double with Lucian needing to fight to finish that sub-plot. The movie was well done from a visual standpoint and had plenty of that sexy walking I love (whenever Selene walked through the vampire house and when the female elder was walking through the train) and I didn't have too much of a problem with the acting. The dialogue and story setup was pretty bad and if the fights had been better I could've ignored that. My main gripe is that the final battle featured one of the things I hate in fight scenes: constant falling in the water. Anytime there's any decent sized puddle or body of water near a fight scene, there's going to be twenty damn shots of people splashing in water. It's annoying, over-used, never looked good in the first place, and gets in the way of seeing what's happening. Movie companies: Stop it.
Pimp shot: The hybrid tossing Viktor across the room and being so damn fast he slammed the vampire against the same wall before the recoil even kicked in.
Regarding the RE2 teaser: The most clever movie teaser I can remember. Pure fucking genius, whether or not you want to see the movie.
Regarding HotD movie: I think it's going to be a so-bad-it's-good sort of flick, enjoyed in the same way I enjoyed Spy Kids 3D. So I'm looking forward to it.![]()
