cigsthecat - 23,571,160 - Stage 3.3 (boss)

Getting frustrated because I keep screwing up on the Stage 3 boss, every time. I'm always on the red border for score purposes at that point so I've only got the one shot.

Almost reached the 12 million mark for Stage 1 green though, got a little over 11.5 million tonight. It'd be more but I still can't figure out my problem with the 1.2 core, so I'm settling for a slightly more conservative 360-385 break there.

Well, I'm more tempted to try a R-R-R/Y-Y-Y/G-G-G route myself. Stage 1 I can survive one way or the other. The stage 2 red norm is easy to achieve, but one wrong move and it's bye-bye...
Stage 3's boss is just plain annoying. I can enjoy fighting all other bosses, but this one is just no fun at all.

That 3rd boss went down, and here's my newest:

37,224,940 (BP= Y-Y-Y/Y-Y-R/Y-R-R/YR-R)

While I started stage 3 in Border Yellow to build up survival time for that one, I did Border Down by intentional death in stage 3 so I could fight the Red form of that boss (which I have an easier time with).

A good bit of this came from the third stage boss (red border). At the time when his 6 helpers came out and fired both bullets and lasers, I used the break laser there. Right after this attack was quashed, he fired one more laser. I kept the juice turned on and countered again. It turned out to be a very hasty kill with a pathetic time bonus (over 20 seconds left), but the boss kill value made up for that.

Osiris got it this time, and Stage 5 posed little trouble up until the boss. I would've hit stage 6C if I had cleared this one.
