The "Orbital Frames" are more believable as huge mechs than the "EMPS" anyway.Originally Posted by Johnny Undaunted

Yeah, but the EMPS aren't supposed to be giants. They're meant to be more realistic like futuristic patrol vehicles (hence the acronymn, Extravehicular Mobility Police Suit). They're both cool either way.Originally Posted by AstroBlue
grrarrrgh, this thread cost me 45 minutes of finals study time. Thanks a lot. ... Shame I want to play it so badly now. I have a feeling that while I will enjoy this game, it'll just make we want to purchase the original and force all my lame-just-getting-into-gaming friends to play to play it. The original, that is. Unless it really does have the same story pontency that the original one had.
About Snake turning into kung-fu legendary masterl level hero, it really isn't a lot like snake. But then, he's young in this installment, he's a genome soldier, so bred for this stuff, aaaaand it's a lot more interesting than the standard type military action (even though I really like that authentic-brand action, though by no means was mgs1 that "authentic" action-wise in the first place.)
Final word- looks awesome. I've been waiting for this remake for a loooong tiiime, and I was surprised to find out that it was actually being made. (A friend of mine informed me of this while I was recently bitching that it should be done...oops.)
Now after Christmas I have something new to count down to.
