From what was shown, the game is divided into two distinct parts. The first is some form of shooter, but the actual mechanics of the shooting weren't explained. The other portion of the game is either made up of third person adventuring or unfolds through cut scenes since
Killer 7 is supposed to be a story intensive title.
Shinji Mikami was unavailable to speak about
Killer 7 at the event because he's busy working on
Resident Evil 4, but he sent Hiroyuki Kobayashi, the Producer, and Goichi Suda, the Director, to speak to the assembled international press. All that was said was that they were instructed by Mikami not to tell the press anything about
Killer 7. However, Koybayashi let a few things slip. He said that
Killer 7 took a long time to develop, and that it had to be played to be appreciated (quite informative).
Killer 7 does look great in motion, even with the odd, yet attractive, art style. It's unfortunate that Capcom didn't elaborate on any gameplay details, but it is speculated that the story will unfold via cut scenes, and then the player will take over with some form of shooting.
