It's finally happened: Helio's deader than dead.

I just got a card in the mail from Sprint today. They're advertising I should kill my Virgin Mobile (Helio) contract and go to them and they'll cover termination and activation fees. I'm not too excited about this prospect.

Under Helio, I pay $65 + tax for UNLIMITED everything except my 500 minutes. That was quite a deal. From what I understand, every other carrier's phone + Data plans are MUCH higher. This bothers me, but I guess I'll pay extra if I have to.

At this point, considering my field, I'd probably benefit more from something I could develop on. Android or iPhone makes more sense, I guess. Now, I still don't like Verizon. Way too pricey and they block EVERYTHING. That's why i left them to begin with. My plan was to wait for the next iteration of the iPhone anyway, but that's June and these guys are pushing for end of January with this Sprint horseshit.

So, AT&T isn't THAT bad in the NY area, is it?

Do you have Cricket or MetroPC in your area? Try them. Its a month by month basis plan and no contract. If you do that you can wade it out till June.

If not. When you met me I was on AT&T. It worked great.

I <3 my storm2. Pandora is almost worth the data pkg. I have to thank doshi or tnl wouldn't be as accessible. I use my laptop half as much and I don't have to reboot this thing like I used to with storm1.

Sprint's unlimited data / texts + whatever minutes (400? 700?) is $70 a month.
