Live wallpapers are really cool and the new gallery is awesome! So much better. Not ugly, clunky and slow anymore. Great update. The voice to text thingy works pretty well too!
Can't wait for a release date for the Nexus One on Sprint.

I used an HTC Incredible at a Verizon event last night.
Thin and light as hell, stupid fast and smooth animations, 8 megapixel cam.
God help me I might ditch my Droid for this and go sans-keyboard.

When the hell are new Verizon phones coming out?
What are you looking for exactly? Were getting something new every couple of weeks.
The incredible will be out in around 2-3 weeks.

Its not going to have the cheap-ass looking red back cover either.

These are the only three things the Pre does well.
I've had my Pre for a while now, and every single day I've used it (literally every day), it's done something to remind me how shitty it is. I call it my Turd phone.
Calling someone on this thing is a real nuisance. You can either bring up the call logs or your contact list, and either way it's going to take way too long to load, whereas the shitty little Samsung phone I had before the Pre took no more than 2 seconds to get to the exact contact I needed
It's also really easy to accidentally press things you didn't mean to press with the Pre. I've accidentally called people so many times, which always happens to be the same time it freezes up and I can't press End before they answer and I have to explain that I called them by accident.
It doesn't have an on-screen keyboard; having to slide your finger over the bottom to go Back got old after the second time; you're unable to view individual texts without viewing your whole thread of conversations, therefore making it impossible to go back to an old text and find out what time it was sent; you have very limited control over the customization of the phone's settings....it goes on and on.
That being said, the web browser is very nice. It's crisp and it's quick and I haven't had any problems with it other than the lack of an on-screen keyboard.
The Google Maps app is also very slick. It's helped tremendously on a few out-of-town trips so far.
What's the most Iphone like thing that verizon has or will have in the next six months?
I'm happier than most people who have the storm are I guess, but I've got app envy.
Six months is a long time. It might be the iPhone for all we know. But as of today probably some Android-based machine like the above mentioned HTC Incredible.
