It might be better now, but Andriod was extremely rough around the edges when I experienced it. The iOS experience is about as smooth as you could want.

Boo, Hiss.
Android feels much more like a real OS to me. More customzable and more user control in general. iOS is less buggy and smoother, but it feels like safety scissors to me.
I'm very happy with gingerbread so far. I might go iphone next month to compare and just keep my X as a backup.
I'm still using the goddamn storm. I was able to upgrade in november but wanted to wait for iphone 5. Now I'm out of contract and still waiting. I'm contemplating buying iphone 4 outright and then selling it when iphive comes out and using my upgrade for that.
How dumb is that idea?
I was doing the same thing. I had enough with my storm 2 and I've been waiting for the new iphone before I use my upgrade. Buying an iphone outright is not in the cards for me, so I found a dude on craigslist who sold me his Droid X. He wanted $300 and I got him down to $200 with the multi media dock and a new case. Now I'm free from RIM's retarded programming and I have a sweet backup once a phone worth upgrading to is released. If you're going from blackberry to a real smartphone anything is going to blow your mind.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
