Just picked up the LG EnV Touch (Verizon) as an upgrade from my Voyager. It's basically the Voyager on 'roids.

Touchscreen interface in vastly improved (the Voyager's was kinda clunky). You can now drag shortcut icons onto your homepage (like an actual PC desktop), which is cool. Still not iPhone great, but very good.

Web browser is MUCH faster and supports Flash (so you can watch YouTube videos) and tabbed browsing.

Camera (w/autofocus) is bumped up to 3.2 megapixels and now has a flash. The old camera on the Voyager was previously the best I'd ever seen on a cell and this one trounces it. Also has wacky modes I've never seen in a camera before, like "smile" mode...it automatically takes a pic when the subject smiles (OMG HOW DOES IT KNOW?!?). There's also a mode that removes zits and blemishes (IT'S THINKING ZOMG). Seriously f'ed up shit, here, but cool.

Has a document viewer now so you can look at Word, Excel, and PDF files.

Still has the great clamshell design with the QWERTY keyboard, although now they've moved the space button to the middle (Voyager had 2 on the sides). That'll take some getting used to.

Kick-ass phone.

Battery life on the Touch is pretty crappy. Otherwise, yes its a really good phone. I hate it because Verizon has it priced so freaking low, and our wholesale on it is $480, I can't make any money selling them damn things as NOONE who buys it is willing to pay $15/mo for a data plan.

....But then the parent comes in a month later whining about $60 in pay-per-use data charges.

No. You can use any plan with the Touch.

Nope, no wifi support. But Verizon's signal is strong enough around where I live that it doesn't matter.

Look at the Samsung Omnia before settling on the Touch.

Isn't that considered a Smart Phone? So wouldn't you have to get the more expensive PDA data plan? I hear it's a solid phone but a bit sluggish. I personally prefer a physical keyboard as opposed to a touchscreen for texting.

BTW, the Omnia's been out since last year. A new one is due out sometime, but there's no American release date yet.
