I love this game... went through it on all the difficulties back in the day. I like the way you can grab the clowns and throw them into the background, or use them as shields from other rocket-launching clowns. I really liked the way you could grapnel the wall behind the first boss and make a chunk of it hit him; that was sweet.

  3. I loved throwing the fat clowns into the bus signs and watching the signs dent. Also, throwing them into and through benches and windows was fun as well.

Thanks for another cool game thread Recap.

I just hope you didn't miss out on the Mega Drive. The driving segments of Batman Returns for Sega CD kick ass.

I don't know if I would call Violent Storm a Final Fight copy though since it sort of counts as part of the Crime Fighters series which is just as old as Final Fight.

  6. The MD/Genny Batman Returns game was great, it was more in the vain of the NES/Gen Batman game, which is fine, but when Batman Returns on the SNES offers up more pure fun, I'll go with that.

Didn't know it was part of the Vendetta saga. Even so, Violent Storm is an evident Final Fight copy in graphic style and gameplay. Capcom's game was the real reference since its appearance. Don't you agree?

I haven't played Violent Storm in a decade so I don't remember it well enough but I understand your point about Konami having it as their Final Fight-like arcade game.

    GRRRRRRRRRR

I used to do these types of threads back in 2002, and I got totally crapped on for using the prefix "Let's Remember..."

  10. I always thought the Batman game for NES was just awesome followed by my second favorite, The Adventures of Batman and Robin. I've only played Batman Returns once are twice, I didn't see as anything special because at the time you had games like Turtles, Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Maximum Carnage, etc. I think it just got lost in the mix.

    Batman Forever was just horrible
