It used to be called The Greatest Movie Ever, which would've been perfect. Oh well. Maybe we'll later get a dvd of the great HBO tv show.

Naw dude Tenacious D is comprised of Jack Black and some other dude(name escapes me) who do rock songs.

The other guy is Kyle Gass.

It'd be easy to label them as a gimmicky fad, but the truth is, they're incredibly talented and every musical genre they riff is impeccably done with equal parody and respect. They're like Christopher Guest troubadours but with foul mouths and dick jokes.

A Tenacious D DVD is coming Nov 4 according to their site. HBO episodes are included.

I agree "The Greatest Movie Ever" would have been a perfect title.

Tenacious D is an excellent band, and KG is a really good guitarist. Jack Black is a really funny guy... if you've never seen the birthday song he did on SNL, go to Kazaa and search for "Jack BLack Birthday Song" or something like that. The funniest thing I have EVER seen in my ENTIRE life.

I agree about the title. I don't think they should have changed it. I think the movie is going to kick ass though.
