Suikoden, Silent Hill 2 had some nice little compositions and to this day I still love the Solstice music.

Sweeping and brassy, bring on the high adventure! (Star Wars)(Skies of Arcadia)
Fast, frenetic! Raise my blood pressure (Wipeout)(anything Techno)(Rockman)
I like quirky bands that nobody hears outside of Japan (Jet Set Radio Future)(many rythym games)
I love cool synthetic instruments used in other music genres besides Techno and industrial. (Panzer Dragoon)
I love Haunting Melodies that steal my breath away (Castlevania)
I love music that follows the actions of the character (Taz-Mania)
I like music to stay in the background until it punctuates the action, or is appropriate to the location (Tomb Raider 1)(Star Wars, Jedi Knight)
Oh man, thank you so much. It's coming down now, slowly, but I can be patient. Very much looking forward to opening this zip up in a few hours. Thanks again.![]()

I listen to the Mars Matrix, Jet grind radio, and a couple of DDR songs. My methods of listening and my choices are limited, but those are probably a good template of what I would listen to.

and i agree jeremy, the instrumental shenmue stuff is great for relaxing.
and that skullmonkeys bonus stage music.....best....song....ever.
I'm gonna say it again.
Everyone needs to go listen to, Terminator for the Sega CD (tommy tallarico), Batman Returns for the Sega CD (Spencer Nielson), Any Sega CD Ecco game (also Spencer Nielson), and finally the lost gem, Dark Wizard (noidea matsui).
That was the most underrated time for music in all of videogames.
Does anyone have the Skeleton Warriors for Playstation soundtrack, man that was good stuff.

youandwhosearmy is right. Go listen to Ecco the Dolphin soundtracks, Sega CD or otherwise. Those are great.
I agree with you 100%! I loved Tallarico and Nielson's Sega CD soundtracks. Nielson also did Spiderman for Sega CD which was pretty good as well (plus the goofy cinemas in that game has the voice of the person who voiced splinter from TMNT as the Kingpin! lol )Originally Posted by youandwhosearmy
Tallarico's Skeleton Warrior's Conan like soundtrack is fantastic as well.
Some other nice Sega CD soundtracks: Mickey Mania (tons of mickey voiceovers too) and Keio Flying Squadron.
Also love many Turboduo soundtracks: Lords and Gate of Thunder, Dracula X, Y's series.
Its amazing how I rarely listen to anything from games these days yet I listen to my Sega CD and Turboduo titles quite alot.
the Magus' theme from Chrono Trigger pretty much sums it up for me. RPGs tend to be the only games where I really notice music, not sure why, probably just the amount of time that I end up having to spend with it...
