SSX 3 vs 1080 Avalanche vs Amped 2

It's not TOO odd that nobody here has commented much on 1080 but since it's been out I expected a bit more feedback coming from at least a rental or purchase.

I guess some people are just sticking with SSX3 or are waiting for a price decrease. I plan on buying it myself but I want to get 100% on SSX3 or at least close to it before getting 1080 as well as waiting for it to get a bit cheaper.

I won't give my impressions because they have pretty much been stated, but Gamespot had a pretty good video review with some good looking footage of the gameplay if I remember correctly. Let me see if I can find the link...

PS: I just noticed, did somebody state that 1080 is the most realistic? HA. Amped 2 is MUCH more realistic. More real looking, more realistic level design, and the most realistic graphics. In terms of gameplay, its a little THPS-esque, but much more realistic than the outlandish racing in 1080. Yeesh.

1080 simply for realism and I simply hate trick based games. As for reviews, let me point out that these are the same people who give critical acclaim to Zelda 64 and Zelda WW.

While I have yet to play any of the games, all three are different beasts and is like comparing NFS to GT3. It really depends on your style of gaming.

I am saimply going to buy it because of the concepts in it.

In terms of gameplay, its a little THPS-esque, but much more realistic than the outlandish racing in 1080.

Precisly why I can never like it. THPS is plain boring to me. *shrugs*

Had a great sensation of speed for its time and a basic-but-fun trick system... But it's race mode was a bit lacking. In many ways, 1080 Avalanche is its next-gen spiritual successor in the style of downhill gameplay.
