until we evolve better eyes that can detect 4 or 5 dimensions(4th being time not withstanding), that is not going to happen again i think you protest too much, but whatever, having played the dd demo, i am confident i will enjoy dd, just a gimmick or not.

THE FOURTH DIMENSION IS NOT TIME! There are an infinite amount of dimensions, whatever we use to classify our existence is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Yes a lot of things are solved using X, Y, Z, and T but that doesn't just make *THE* fourth dimension time.

Put in about 2 hours of play now. Game is solid. The two person karts adds enough to keep it fresh. Courses are fun, lot more moving enemies/obsticles than in the past games, make it more of a challenge.
It seems that down-time from attacks has been lessened quit-a-bit. It seemed that you used to be able to lauch a turtle shell at a kart ahead of you and no matter how far back you were, if you hit it, you would be able to pass them. It's not that way anymore.
Bottom line: If you played MarioKart 64 for a 100 hours, you'll do the same here and love ever minute.

It's just as arbitrary to say that time is the fifth dimension as it is to say it's the fourth dimension. There should be a fifth dimension spatial configuration that is to a tesseract what a tesseract is to a square.

Time dimensions should be completely separate, and perhaps time can have multiple dimension. Perhaps our timeline is the first time dimension, and alternate futures lie on other timelines in the second time dimension.

Anyway...I need Mario Kart to break me free of Fire Emblem.
