...which is exactly the same thing SpoDaddy did by trying to argue for MK: DD before even having played it.I have not told anyone that they are wrong for liking Mario Kart: Double Dash. I even said that this is the best Mario Kart game ever.

Because I'm one of the fans of the game, though I'm not gushing over it. Perhaps you missed the three times I mentioned that this is my favorite Mario Kart game ever. I'm just not blind to the really, really shitty parts of it.

I now own the game, played it with my girlfriend for a while. It's fantastic, slightly flawed but also much improved. The co op kart mode is brilliant and that combined with the tightened up driving engine makes this the best playing MK ever.

As for the tracks, I haven't unlocked special cup yet but so far each track firmly fits into one of 2 categories: "run of the mill kart track" or "One of the best MK tracks ever". Like ever MK game before, this game has some stinkers, but no MK game in history has had a track as great as DK Mountain or Daisy's Cruise Ship, for example. Other favorites of mine are the Wario dirt track and that tiny baby circle track. As for battle mode, I only played it 2 player but the maps were perfect for 2 and the control felt great, just like SNES. I could see how 4 player could get cramped, howevever the only battle track from MK64 I miss is the legendary Block Fort. I really hope it's in here somewhere, as that would make me cream my jeans. I really feel that huge battle maps don't belong in battle mode, it's not an FPS after all. It's supposed to be aboutmaneuvering your enemy, not finding them. So far the only battle map I think would be good for 4 players is Block City. Pleeeeeeeeease be in there Block Fort, if Block Fort is in there somewhere I will proclaim this game as the greatest game ever made. As it stands, it's just the greatest kart racer I've ever played (Co op karting on DK Mountain with my girlfriend is the videogame equivalent of sex.).

Random on-topic statement: I've been using Peach or Daisy with Koopa or Paratroopa in Luigi's kart. This seems to work well -- it's a fast kart, the Princesses can get the heart item (steal other items or items on the road) and the koopas can get the 3-shell items.

Waluigi still sucks. And so does his kart.

Waluigi is the most creative new character in the Mario universe. How much effort did it take to think up Wario? Not much, it's a natural progression from Mario, with the word "War" in the name insinuating he is bad. He is the lame one. And look at Toadette, really really lame. But then there is the glory that is Waluigi, who comes from nowhere, and who's name doesn't make sense. I think it took balls to put such a character in there. I chuckle at his name all the time because it's good satire instead of a silly pun. He also has the best voice samples in every game he's in.

If Block Fort is hidden somewhere, this game will get significantly better in my eyes.

Unfortunately, Battle Mode will still suck because of the specialty weapons.

I think the "pun" with Waluigi is that "warui" means "bad" in Japanese. The character still sucks.

I like to use Paratroopa. When you use either of the Koopas its like they never took the 3 shell thing out of the game. I think 3 red shells is the best special, maybe other than that of peach/daisy
