  4. I think the Native Americans had it right, and then the Christians came over and now we have all these rules and beliefs that go against our most basic of instincts.

  5. I think that sometimes if we all just followed a good, honest life, the "rules" would all but be forgotten. Then again the forcast in hell for the day that that happens is pretty chilly.

which specific tribe are you referring to here? I was unaware that native amercians didnt marry, or have some form of lifetime exclusive commitment, it seems pretty much universal among cultures that existed long enough to be recorded. link please?

  8. It'd be nice to get married someday, but after taking a hard look at everything, all I can say is it'd be best for all involved if I don't get married or try to have children.

That is like one of my worst nightmares. To have a women I love deaply, only to one day find out that after 20 years of marriage, and 2.5 kids, my wife has been nocking boots with the paper boy, the pizza guy, and the milk man.

End of 3rd paragraph you can see there was no "exclusive commitment". I used the Creeks as an example because I recently wrote a 2,000 word essay on the Creeks of the early 19th century.
