He's not all that bright to be putting his name right on the title screen, for one thing, it's an instant identifier, for another, he didn't even give Nintendo a lick of credit for it to begin with. Still, looks like it'd be fun to play. I hope this thread doesn't get banished to either Sound Off or FC, as it's a fine thread when you cut out the non-gaming stuff.

Not just to be contrary, but I've enjoyed the series a lot more in 3D, even if Ocarina is pretty damn hideous these days.

Mech, I hear ya, the series has evolved wonderfully into 3D, without losing anything that made it so great to begin with. Still, curiosity rules the roost when it comes to how OoT would be in 2D.

Diff, it's not about that. I'm thinking that if the guy ever wants to pitch it to Nintendo, or at least avoid some legal shit, he should at least give them credit. Also, judging by the board, he'll be giving a 2D Majora's Mask a shot after this game gets done.

Um, if he ever did pitch this to Nintendo they'd rip his name right off of it and replace it with theirs, so I don't think he's stepping on anyone's toes right now when this is just a fan project. You think if he actually showed this to Nintendo they wouldn't grab it and then bury it in their backyard?

shame he's using the ALTTP gfx. they're so ugly, imo. should rip the graphics from 4 swords. =)

I guess the guy didn't have a Zelda III GBA rom.

While I don't think the Zelda III sprites were ugly, I agree he should've been using the Four Swords sprites instead. I wish Nintendo would use the Four Swords-gfx and engine on a full game, rather than a mini-game on some GBA port.
