So you think that as long as he credited Nintendo, everything would be hunky dory between him and the Big N? He hacked one of their games, stole the sprites and used the story written by a Nintendo employee, all without permission. It wouldn't matter if he gave them credit. He didn't ask first, and if he had, they would have said no. If he takes it to them when it's complete, they'll say "Thank you very much", put a cease and desist on him, sue him for what he did, take the game and either destroy it or put it in the back of their vaults, then shut down any sights that offer it.Originally Posted by Jeremy
Actually, I should have checked my original quote, as it was "avoid SOME legal shit", obviously they'd still do something, but they might be somewhat lenient if he at least gave them credit. By not even doing that, he's just giving them another reason to get pissed.

I think this game is being made with Game Maker. There's a whole community of people ripping content from older 2D games and making new titles with this program. Even though they're probably legally in the right to squash this, I'm not sure Nintendo would want to deal with it.
This'd make a great GBA game!
funny as it is, isn't this the same thing Miyamoto did to Namco with the Pac-man Versus?Originally Posted by Scourge

Picked up a cheap copy of Seasons today ($3) and it made me think of this project.
It appears that the creater is still working on it, and it's look pretty nice.
