There is no pizza in the world better than the stuff you'll get in New Haven, Connecticut. Within two miles of each other are Sally's, Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, and Modern Apizza. About eight miles from New Haven is Marco Pizzeria, which is the hands-down best evar. They all beat anything I've ever had in NY, including Patsy's and Lombardi's.
There are only a few things which have any business being toppings on a pizza, and BBQ chicken, pineapple, raspberries, peanuts, and hot wing sauce are NOT any of them. Those aren't pizzas. They are pieces of dough with stuff on them. Bread creations. Not pizza.
There's no good pizza out here in CA. I can't wait to visit CT to have some real stuff.
