And please, please, please don't let "Birthday Cake" on JSRF scare you off of that band. Not the best representation of them at all (although the song actually works in the context of the album it comes from).
That's a tall order, considering that Birthday Cake may well be the worst song I have ever heard.

Anyway...is the new Xbox package the same game as this DDR Extreme? I'm having trouble keeping my DDRs straight.

  2. The new Xbox DDR is entirely different. Different graphics, different timing windows, different game modes. It also only comes with 50 some songs while DDR Extreme comes with 111, but the Xbox version makes up for it by offering song downloads (5 new songs per month).

Trust me, even people who hate "Birthday Cake" can love Cibo Matto. Get "Stereo Type A". You won't regret it.

  3. Ill be even more blunt than burg: Birthday Cake is the absolute worst song I have ever heard, no questions asked. It's a horrible, fetid, steaming pile of pure awfulness. It's so bad that I will never, ever, ever listen to Cibo Matto because of it.

I would never buy an album on a blind recommendation from a group that put that song out, nor would I spend my time downloading any of their tracks from Soulseek.

If you like Birthday Cake, you are retarded. End of story.

  4. Oh, and a fun Cibo Matto coincidence came up since my orriginal posting of this thread. While my band was recording in the studio, I saw a floppy disk lying on the producer's desk labled "Cibo Matto". Being a fan I inquired about it, and he said it was the automated fader settings for the "Sterio Type A" album. Apparently he produced that album as well. Anyway, we get into a conversation about the album and our drummer blurts out "Oh yeah, I remember burning that album off of someone!"..... With the album's producer right there in the room. Talk about putting your foot in your mouth.

Again let me say: No other Cibo Matto song sounds even remotely like "Birthday Cake". You're missing out.

  5. Fuck it, I dont care. They shouldn't have put out bullshit like Birthday Cake if they want people to listen to them.

  6. Thats what makes Birthday Cake such a great song. The whole album is mellow or slightly upbeat, then out of nowhere they get with the screaming.

It's on my PGR2 soundtrack right now XD!

This is one of those cases where a Cibo Matto song could be pure musical bliss, but I'm still going to associate it the worst frigging song I ever heard in my mind.
