Blood Will Tell, based on the epic manga by Osamu Tezuka, is about a samurai named Hyakkimaru on a quest to uncover his past and regain his humanity. As a newborn baby he was robbed of every limb, organ and even his flesh and replaced them by concealing weapons in every portion of his body (blades, guns, bazookas, missiles), becoming a one man army with a myriad of ways to deal out death to the over 100 demons and enemies present in the game.

At every step of the way, Hyakkimaru's friend Dororo will be there to help you, guide you, and fight alongside Hyakkimaru as he explores and unravel the mystery of his past. Players control both charaters, using each character's unique abilities to defeat enemies and solve puzzles, with even two-player cooperative play being allowed!

I don't have a problem with it.. it's better than Nightshade, at any rate.

Frankly, I'm surprised this game is coming out here given its heavily-Japanese origins. It looks pretty cool.

  3. I think the game looks hot, and the name change isn't so bad. It's actually kind of cool.

  4. Hrm. I don't really like the new name, but at least they kept the original in the subtitle.

As for Nightshade, it's grown on me, especially after I learned the explanation. It's not bad at all.

Right. They might as well have named the game "Tomato."

  6. The other explanation, the one in the "Kunoichi [aka Nightshade]" thread.

  7. Blood Will Tell sounds like a generic B movie title, a title people will easily forget, which I think will hurt game sales to the masses. The original title would have stuck in people's minds better.

Not to mention make it sound like a game for kids, the way people here see things. In the US, a game with a name like that would have a much, much harder time getting taken seriously. I think this was a name change for the best. Nightshade is debatable, but it's done, and the game is still gonna be good. Here, they've kept the original name in the subtitle. So it's all good.
