Disc 1: Episode 1: Five Faces Of Darkness, Part One?One year after the events of The Transformers: The Movie, the leaderless Decepticons have set up base on the planet Charr, their Energon stores depleted and their ambition for conquest lost. Disgusted by this, Cyclonus sets out to search for the missing Galvatron. On a faraway planet Rodimus Prime officiates the First Galactic Olympics, but chaos erupts when the Olympic Torch explodes in an act of sabotage and Kup, Ultra Magnus, and Spike are kidnapped amidst the commotion. Following a lead on Earth, Blaster and Outback discover the location of Charr, allowing Rodimus and Grimlock to head there to look for their missing comrades.
Episode 2: Five Faces Of Darkness, Part Two?Rodimus and Grimlock are overwhelmed by Decepticon forces, but a strange spaceship rescues them from captivity on Charr. Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps locate Galvatron, asking him to lead the Decepticons once more, but find their former leader filled with an unstable rage. On Quintessa Kup, Ultra Magnus, and Spike are interrogated by the maniacal Quintessons and found guilty for the unlawful inhabitation of planet Cybertron. Traveling into the Matrix of Leadership, Rodimus Prime sees a vision of the Quintessons and, returning from his vision quest, leads a rescue force to Quintessa.
Episode 3: Five Faces Of Darkness, Part Three?Escaping Quintessa, Rodimus and his allies crash-land and become stuck on Goo 8739B, a planetoid made up of a strange, viscous substance. Galvatron returns to the Solar System and intercepts a shuttle piloted by Blurr and Wheelie, who have been charged with delivering Metroplex?s Transformation Cog to Autobot City on Earth. Blurr and Wheelie crash on Io, one of Jupiter?s larger moons. Back on Charr, the Quintessons arrive and make the languishing Decepticons an offer they can?t refuse: unlimited Energon for the destruction of the Autobots!
Episode 4: Five Faces Of Darkness, Part Four?Galvatron arrives on Goo just in time to bring the Quintesson-powered Decepticons back to his side and immediately threatens to kill the nearby Quintessons for stealing his troops. The Quintessons calm the Decepticon leader with the promise of the Decepticon Matrix of Leadership, and the two teams call a truce. In a surprise move, Wreck-Gar attempts to rescue the Goo-bound Autobots. Seeking answers to the mysteries of the Quintessons, Rodimus Prime takes a dangerous journey into the Matrix once again and learns the true origins of the Transformers!
Episode 5: Five Faces Of Darkness, Part Five?On Earth, a mammoth new Decepticon named Trypticon destroys the Ark and heads toward Autobot City. On Cybertron, a Decepticon armada attacks while the Autobots? planetary defenses are down. SkyLynx and the Predacons each head to Io to secure the wayward Transformation Cog?but the Quintessons have an ace up their sleeve, planning a betrayal of Galvatron and the immediate destruction of all Transformer life on Cybertron.
Episode 6: The Killing Jar?A Quintesson scientist kidnaps Ultra Magnus, Cyclonus, Wreck-Gar, and Marissa Faireborn in order to conduct experiments in behavioral psychology. The prisoners escape their cells, but the scientist?s ship is damaged during an Energon storm and is set on a deadly and inescapable path into the event horizon of a black hole.
Episode 7: Chaos?Kup, SkyLynx, Grimlock, Wheelie, and Blurr investigate the destruction of an Earth Defence Command shuttle and discover it was destroyed by Death Crystals. But Death Crystals can only be found in one place in the galaxy: on the skin of a giant beast called Chaos who lives within a mountain on the planet Dread. But this isn?t the first time Kup has faced Chaos, and the Autobot security officer will have to face the ghosts of his past in order to solve this case.
Disc 2: Episode 1: Dark Awakening?Fleeing through space from pursuing Decepticons, the Autobots dock at a mausoleum, the burial place of Autobots killed in the Great War. Daniel sees Optimus Prime alive?but how can this be? And though Optimus Prime can?t remember the recent past, Rodimus Prime returns the Matrix to its former bearer, possibly spelling doom for all the Autobots.
Episode 2: Forever Is A Long Time Coming?Detecting unusual Chronal Energy patterns emanating from an asteroid field, Perceptor, Blaster, Blurr, and Wreck-Gar discover a Quintesson scientist activating a strange device. This device, the Time Window, offers a portal to the Cybertron of 11 million years ago?but before the Autobots can stop this mystery scheme, they mistakenly pass through the Window and A-3, a disoriented and distrustful Autobot, appears. Will A-3?s disappearance from the past spell doom for the Autobot?s future?
Episode 3: Fight Or Flee?Cyclonus and Scourge retreat from a space battle with the Aerialbots and inadvertantly discover the energy-rich planet of Paradron. Seeking a permanent respite from war, the inhabitants of Paradron are all pacifist Autobots who fled Cybertron eons ago to establish an autonomous colony. Sandstorm, an Autobot Triple Changer and Paradron citizen, must warn his people of an imminent Decepticon invasion before his tranquil world is forever ravaged.
Episode 4: Thief in the Night?Octane is on the run from Galvatron and wants leadership of the Decepticons for himself. He convinces Trypticon to head to the oil-producing nation of Carbomya, where they can consume all the Energon they want in exchange for performing an occasional task for the country?s sovereign, Abdul Fakhaddi. But Fakhaddi doesn?t stop there and orders his new metal mobsters to steal numerous national monuments, including the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, and the Kremlin.
Episode 5: Starscream?s Ghost?Cast out of the Decepticons, Octane forms an uneasy alliance with Autobot Sandstorm after discovering Galvatron has placed a bounty on the traitor?s head. While fleeing from Scourge and the Sweeps, Octane hides in the Decepticon crypt on Cybertron and there encounters the unthinkable: the ghost of Starscream! This more notorious traitor offers to help Octane in exchange for revenge on Galvatron. Upon acceptance of his offer, Starscream?s first action is to take over Octane?s body!
Episode 6: Ghost In The Machine?Having taken over the body of Scourge, Starscream heads toward Cyberton?s new moon, the disembodied head of the Unicron. Within the head, Starscream reactivates the Chaos Bringer?s brain functions, and the two strike a bargain: Unicron will remake Starscream?s corporeal form if Starscream will perform three labors, beginning with the theft of Metroplex?s optic sensors from Autobot City on Earth.
Episode 7: Surprise Party?Witnessing Ultra Magnus? bravery and selflessness during battle, Daniel and Wheelie decide to look up the commander?s birthday and throw him a surprise party. Their search brings them to a drifting Autobot storage asteroid, but trouble follows in the form of Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps. Cyclonus captures the two youths and sets the storage asteroid on a collision course with Cybertron.
Disc 3: Episode 1: Madman?s Paradise?On Cybertron Daniel is bored and walks away from a Peace Summit officiated by the Autobots. Along with Grimlock, the youth finds an ancient chamber once used by the Quintessons to banish criminals to faraway dimensions. Grimlock accidentally activates the chamber and the two find themselves transported to a world called Minonia, where two wizards have been engaged in a power struggle for millennia.
Episode 2: Nightmare Planet?In his dreams Daniel is pursued by a gigantic Galvatron. The boy tells Rodimus Prime of his disturbing visions, only to be reassured that they are only dreams, no matter how real they seem. But the Quintessons have a machine that can look into the human youth?s mind and use those same dreams against the Autobots.
