GameStop will give you a straight up $25 credit for a broken PS2, and has been doing this for well before this EB knock-off promotion.
Though I must admit, it's a pretty good knock-off promotion.
In some EB promotional flyers there is a blurb about a new program that allows you to trade in a broken PS2 system and get a refurbished system for $99.99. Limit one per customer it must include, controller, av cables, ac cord. Not sure how new the program actually is, but it is better that trashing a broken PS2.
Yea, but EB gives you a $50 credit for the thing. Thats better than $25.
And I will also say that I dont think you NEED to spend it on another PS2. I think if you wanted you could buy Xbox games or whatever. But they might've changed that.

Refurbished Sony product?
Ill take door number 2 instead, Monty.

theres no point in this cause i have yet to see a refurbished PS2 that works
hell when our demo PS2 finally gave out our rep popped in 3 different refurbished ones before she finally gave us a new one
Not sure where you received that information, but actually our company offers $35 in store credit. Just an fyi.Originally Posted by Captain Vegetable
Bahn is right, though if you ever walk into my store when my manager is working, he'll give you the full $100 store credit. It's his policy and I don't follow it. How much are refurb PS2's at EB anyways?
Considering a new PS2 is $179.99 a refurb is about $125-$135. This is going by my experience on refurb items when I was working for EB. Refurbs arent that cheap from the new ones..just like used ones are like $5 cheaper than new ones.
I got the flyer from EB, I'll scan it and post it whenever I have the chance
