Thread: Coast to Coast AM

  1. Coast to Coast AM

Just wondering if anyone else listens to Coast to Coast AM radio for some quality late night entertainment.

Aliens, ghosts, UFO's, Mars, lucid dreaming, super-volcanoes, rods, bigfoot, Area 51, Atlantis, etc.... It's all covered on this show.

It's an AM radio show that you can pick up in most places in the country.

They cover all of the subjects that the rest of the media doesn't. This ranges from science topics like genetic engineering, renewable energy resources, or quantum physics, to the paranormal like UFO's and rods, to the downright bizarre like the Philadelphia Experiment and every conspiracy theory ever thought of.

It's on from 1AM to 5AM every night EST time. You can get a listing of affiliates and more information on the website here. George Noory is the host for weekdays, and the great Art Bell is back, now doing the weekend duties.

  4. When I worked second shift I listened all the time, I still do now and then but I really miss Art. At one time, I believe C2C was around the second largest sydicated radio show, if I'm remembering correctly.

  5. I haven't listened to it since Art Bell left.

Loved the show, but it was difficult staying up for it because it started at 1am in this zone.

Hey guys, Art Bell is back.

About a month or two ago he filled in for a weekend, and had so much fun doing the show that he decided to take over the weekend duties.

If you listen tonight and tomorrow, Art Bell will be the host.

  7. I'll put this on once in a while if I'm on the road that late at night. Most of the time I'll end up snickering to myself about the...ahem...opinions of the guest or callers. Some of the topics relating to alternative medicine (when the guest isn't trying to promote a book or self-help program) or scientific subjects can be interesting, though.

Usually if I want to listen to a serious science-oriented program though, NPR's Talk of the Nation Science Friday hits the spot.

That's the point, no opinion is too far-fetched for this show.

Some nights all you can do is laugh or admire the guests for their creativity. Other nights you'll be captivated by the subject matter. Some nights it can even be educational or force you to think about things in an entirely new light.

You just never know what you might hear and that's probably why I keep coming back.

  9. I am a big fan of the show. I listen to it every weekday night. It's the best radio show and perhaps talk show period. Art Bell was great but I don't mind George Noory either. For a short time though, it had too many shows about terrorism and weather patterns. I prefer the paranormal, UFO and scientific theories subjects but the last couple weeks have been really good and this week looks entertaining as well.
