    That's Apogee, Epic's old rival.

  3. Apogee had Rise of the Triad... that game rocked my face back in the day.

God I hated that game. Just on principle. How lame are you, Tom Hall?

That game was made by Tom shortly after he quit id software because he felt Doom was "too violent". Then Doom was a huge hit, so he modified the Wolf3D engine ehich he still had the rights to, and made an even more violent, and infinately inferior game. What a douche.

    ?!?!?!

I didn't like UT2k3 but that whole JSRF thing threw me... what?

Anyway, I don't think Unreal Championship is good at all, either. Tried to play it for a bit, but I just couldn't enjoy it. Too bad, but the original UT still holds up as a great game, so what does it matter? Further UT games don't excite me much... the only new FPS I really care about it Halo 2.

NeoZeedeater, make an Apogee thread next

  7. They also developed Extreme Pinball, which was published by Electronic Arts. I think they also did the more recent Adventure Pinball, also published by EA.

I have the IBM PC compatible version of Extreme Pinball, and it's a superb pinball game. Sadly, it doesn't seem to want to install under Windows XP, so I might have to track down the PlayStation verison.

I'll probably do an Apogee thread some time. I try to avoid making threads on similar companies too close to each other.
