Final analysis:
- Good lord, those 80's master system ads were atrocious, they're like the futuristic parody commercials out of Back to the Future or something, especially that sega scope ad.
- The early Genesis ads were stomach churning, that geeks one was horriffic, and did anyone else find it odd that sega games were sold at "Canadian Tire"?
- The Sonic 2 Informercial ad was really inspired stuff.
- The real early "It's thinking" DC ads sucked, but the ads in which the game characters are really around inside the DC are wonderful, the Crazy Taxi ad is simply brilliant. It's a lot of fun trying to figure out who the characters are, I was surprized to to see Slave Zero in the background of one of the ads.
- The Contra Hard Corps ad couldn't be more appropriate.
- That JGR ad really is fantastic.
- "Hard Stuff" what an awful slogan.
- As for the international ads, that euro megacd ad was beyond cheesy, and lol "6 billion players" online, come one now. I haven't touched the Japanese ones yet.
- And you really do have to love all the shit talking that goes on in these ads, especially that blast processing one.
- They were missing some ads, like the aforementioned Seaman ad, I know there was a second shenmue ad with some idiot in an insane asylum, that awful Sonic R ad with the two guys flying around, some current stuff like shinobi, the streets of rage ad where the nerd flips out after getting his ear flicked, the saturn "Theatre of the Mind" ad, and an ad for Ground Zero Texas (I was shocked to see that Tomcat Alley ad though). All in all it was awesome to see some of these ads again.
