Some of the weapons are bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. I just spent 7,500 bolts on the Glove of Doom, and it's got to be the best weapon in the game. How much I use it made swallowing that huge amount of cash a lot easier.
It's an awesome weapon. It's not only amusing to use, but also very practical.

I agree with you about the size of the planets, though. I mean, they're freaking planets! You'd think there'd be more to do than just complete six or seven objectives. If they could keep the same number of planets, or make more, and at the same time actually have you traverse the entire face of the planet, it would be a much appreciated improvement. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando will have "spherical worlds." These are tiny planets that you can completely explore. There's a spherical world as part of the demo that has been circulating around (as a standalone demo disc, and on the OPM #73 demo).
Speaking of the demo, it's really good. It lets you use five or six of the weapons/gadgets, and is very generous in the amount of gameplay it gives you. I'd go so far as to say that it's one of the best demos ever on a video game system--the amount of gameplay is comparable to some full games!
If you do get the opportunity to play the demo, be sure to check out the Tractor Beam gun. It's got several different functions, many of which are very creative.
