Damn right! Tossing a few Doombots into a room full of baddies and sitting back and watching the carnage is the only way to fly, baby.

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando will have "spherical worlds." These are tiny planets that you can completely explore. There's a spherical world as part of the demo that has been circulating around (as a standalone demo disc, and on the OPM #73 demo).

I know, and I have played the demo but these "Spherical Worlds" aren't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about huge, honest to goodness planets, wherein we get to explore it's entire surface area.

Speaking of the demo, it's really good. It lets you use five or six of the weapons/gadgets, and is very generous in the amount of gameplay it gives you. I'd go so far as to say that it's one of the best demos ever on a video game system--the amount of gameplay is comparable to some full games!

I agree. The demo is excellent. I've played through it several times now, and it keeps getting better every time.

If you do get the opportunity to play the demo, be sure to check out the Tractor Beam gun. It's got several different functions, many of which are very creative.

The Tractor Beam Gun is as cool, if not cooler than the anti-gravity gun in HL2.

I havent played the first one but i really wanna get both now. Also I found out that Ratchet gets a new voice actor in GC, same guy who voiced Tidus in FFX.

Aw, for God's sake! I didn't like his voice enough as it was in R&C, but now we get the worst of the worst as a follow up?!

Tidus' voice was way too whiny and scratchy, and this is coming from someone who loved the FFX voices. I really hope he speaks the deleveries differently so we get a new Ratchet, instead of a Ratchet who sounds like Tidus.

Oh yeah, there was my other complaint.

Ratchet was probably the most horrible designed character ever. He was whiny, stupid, bitched too much, and was never funny. All the other characters, while humourous, weren't enough to make up the fact that the main character was a TOOL.

Clank was awesome, Ratchet was very stupid.

I didn't have as big a problem with Ratchet as most others did. Granted, he was the worst of his era, being shown up by the likes of Jak and Sly, but he wasn't horrible.

Now, though, with Tidus' voice actor . . . let's just say I have my doubts.

Comin' out tomorrow! Anyone nabbing it?
I'm going through R&C a second time (New Game +) to get everything (I missed gold bolts, the gold weapons, the RYNO, and one item... center one on the bottom row of the item menu... not sure what it is...). I don't care what the result of getting everything is, the game is so fun that I WANT to get them. Hell, I'll play through it a third time to get enough bolts for the gold weapons, as the RYNO is my main concern, now.

I really enjoyed the original, but it looks like they haven't made many new additions to the sequel. I'm still looking forward to it, but I'll probably rent first.
