I really liked it after seeing it again. This time I sat back and could make things out clearly, and the sound was turned higher than a dinky AM radio. So, yay! Teh Zion peoples are free to live in the scorched earth!

Okay, if you have like, a million sentinels...I think you can send at least one to carry the EMP to the human city and let it off. Or, maybe a self-propelled EMP...I mean, the robots have some pretty high-tech stuff, remember?Originally Posted by sleeveboy
Really agree with haoh, here, ever since I first watched Aliens back in the 80's I always wondered what it would be like if that mech lifter was decked out in heavy artillery and put up against a huge force of oncoming enemies. Now I know, and I must say I was quite impressed with the resultsOriginally Posted by haohmaru
I really enjoyed Revolutions, moreso than Reloaded but I got a kick out of that one as well (Zion rave scene and Neo's wishy-washiness aside), but this film was definitely the trilogy's second best and wrapped things up nicely for me.
The Smith/Neo final fight was everything I hoped it would be, lots of DBZ-esque over the top action. The way Neo ultimately defeated Smith was pretty creative, and really the only way to go considering the two of them were basically two halves of the same whole, the Yin and Yang. Only by sacrificing himself and allowing himself to be absorbed by Smith could Neo destroy him.
Then again, I was pretty sure Neo was gonna bite it once Banesmith blinded him. I don't think I've ever seen a movie where a main character was blinded and survived the end.
I actually dug the ending and saw that as the only realistic way things could end for me. I know even WATCHING the Matrix movies requires a good deal of suspension of disbelief, but if the Wachowski brothers had some how managed to script 250,000 ragtag humans annihilating billions, possibly even trillions, of machines who controlled the Earth's entire surface, it would have been too much. This way, humans now have a choice to leave the Matrix, and so long as they don't reinitiate hostilities with the machines, could probably have a chance to rebuild and re-establish their own sphere of influence in the world.
All in all a good ending to the series and an overall good movie![]()
omg TNL epics!
You're too clever for your own good, FuryFox!

I don't know the physics of EMP usage, really. If you launched an EMP, wouldn't it just impact on the dockwall and do no damage?
Even launching conventional explosives in advance probably wouldn't work, seeing as it took the machines weeks to drill to Zion in the first place.

jemt....im sorry that you think spiderman and the xmen movies are "classics". good movies? without a doubt (well mebbe not the xmen movies)......but CLASSICS? lol. besides those are based on comics and as such command people being hyper anilytical about them.
I liked all three. They're amusing and I had a good time with the mind fucks as they unwound.
My only real complaint was Neo became awfully Paul Mua'dib for my tastes towards the end. Odd complaint, I know.
I also liked Johnny Mnemonic.
Here is the thread for "Matrix Online" which is supposed to be the story after Revolutions:
