Thread: The Matrix Revolutions (unmarked SPOILERS after post #160)

  1. Remember that site I linked to back in the Reloaded thread that had some guy breaking down all the philisophical references? Well he's back:

Well, I'm ready for a sequal, or side story, whatever, in The Matrix ver 7.0

  2. There will be some kind of follow, maybe not a film, but something. It is inevitable. [/smith]

They were referring to Neo growing more powerful and disrupting the system. Eventually he would crash the system; Smith's increase was due to the Architect's balance design.

Yep. Comics, an MMO, and more games.

Nifty, and those pictures are awesome.

  4. just thought i'd jump in here for one quick post.

the matrix was by far the best of the 3 films. of the 2 sequels, i liked reloaded more, if only because of the better soundtrack, more interesting action scenes (specifically, the freeway chase,) and the merovingian. revolutions bored me. the only thing that held my interest was the awesome design work on the machines. i loved the drills.

i don't see the point in dwelling on the actual story of either sequel, as it started bad (zion sucks,) and got progressively worse.

i really wanted to like the sequels, too. they had so much potential.. about the only thing i can hope for now is for someone to make a new movie set in the matrix universe. preferably someone who has seen the animatrix short, "beyond."

edit: the sequels would be better if there were more scenes like this:

  5. I just watched Reloaded again. Good stuff. And Sati's dad can be seen as Neo and the gang first walk in to met the Merovingian.

Yes, but I get first dibs on the guns and I get to keep whatever machines I kill.

I'm all for a character dying. Like in that one 26 episode Anime series that will remain nameless.

Hell, I'm happy they both died.

It's just said when some paintings and drawings (in reference to that anime) emote more and cause me to care for those characters versus The Matrix.

I was bummed when he died in The Matrix, and happy he came back.

By revolutions I was happy he was dead and it was just over.

    For me it goes:

    Matrix: Great.
    Animatrix: Really damn good.
Revolutions: Some good stuff, but so-so.
    Reloaded: Poo.

  7. Matt, you pretty much summed my opion of M series. I think I liked Revolutions little bit more than you did, but you dead on Reloaded

  8. Theres rumors that Warner Bros may bring out the DVD THIS Christmas already. I guess its getting pirated on the net pretty bad and the execs are all worried about word of mouth about how bad it is. I really doubt it will be out so soon but I really would understand if it was.
I also heard they want to get a box set out real soon so they can push Revolutions out at people.

and for the record Reloaded was the better than Revolution IMO.
    Xbox Live- SamuraiMoogle

  9. The relatively poor performance at the box office has less to do with piracy and more to do with not being an excellent movie.

  10. If the record industry can use it as an excuse, so can the movie industry.

Not that it becomes more relevant no matter whose mouth it comes out of...
