I had no expectations, though. I was apathetic to the matrix. Things about it were cool, others where shades of grey. I just didn't like the second and third films as films.

  2. What makes me mad is that there are no decent posters for this movie. They all have akward poses on them or the "Matrix Drip". I want a poster of Neo and Agent Smith fighting each other, them both floating in the air with the green lightning behind them. That would be bad ass!

  3. This is about as close to that as you'll get.

  4. That's not too bad!

  5. yikes. i liked the promo posters for reloded much more. if you don't remember, they were essentially just closeups of the characters from the neck down. say what you will about the movie, but the costumes were one of its better aspects.

  6. Thumbs Up

Just saw the movie. Revolutions was BAD. I mean Soldier bad, or Die Another Day bad, IMO. I still assert that Reloaded was an enjoyable film, but I finally agree with the crowd who thought they should have quit and moved on after the first film.

The sequels' downfall lies in the whole overdeveloped 'programs' subplot, introducing a bunch of new characters that have nothing to do with anything. The plot of Matrix 2 and 3: Smith has gone crazy with new powers, and it's time for the machines to destroy Zion and reload the Matrix. Neo must risk/sacrifice his life by heading to the Machine City, strike a deal with the machine boss, take down Smith, equalize the Matrix, and save Zion. Great, so why did we need the Merovingian and the Trainman and Merv's well-dressed ghosts n' goblins and all those other worthless program characters cluttering up the sequels? Either they should have trimmed a lot of fat and condensed the content for Rel. and Rev. into a single 3-hour summer blockbuster epic, or this plot should have never been greenlighted.

I'll rent Reloaded every now and again for the fun fighting and action scenes, but it'll be a very long time before I find the urge to watch Revolutions ever again.

  7. On the contrary I already re-watched Revolutions once, and might want to see it again, and even after 2 additional times, Reloaded bores the hell out of me.

  8. Well, we all know what opinions are like, and why.

That's not an insult btw, just a statement of fact, that I respectfully disagree with the apparently popular view of Reloaded and Revolutions.

But can we agree that the sequels were, overall, unnecessary? I think we can.

  9. Dropping like a rock now.

    Down 70% from last Friday.

  10. Seeing how this thing is bombing now, I bet its out on DVD by THIS Christmas. I will laugh when I'm watching it again at the end of December.

wait, why would I want to see it again?
