I want a Macintosh...

OK. I have given up.

I have been paying attention to the Apple Propoganda Machine over the past few days and it got me.

I want a Mac.

So I decided to swing by the Apple store to build a computer... just for the hell of it.

Six thousand seven hundred dollars.

How do normal humans afford these computers? And why the fuck does Apple have the balls to charge that much for Hardware?

The really fucked up thing? I'll end up dropping the money on one... I hate being a consumer whore.

What fucking Mac is that? G5 Duals, Apple's current top o' the line, is $2995.00 and it runs rings around all of its predecessors. Or, are you throwing the 23" HD Flat Screen into that mix?

Two of the 20" monitors, and a gig of ram.

I toned down the features a bit, and dropped it down to $5,917.

So much more reasonable.

I'd love to get a Mac one of these days...

But I already have all the sofware I need for Windows. And buying new Mac versions of all the software I'd need along with the price of the system isn't a very appealing option. :/

Apple machines are way too overpriced.

Hmm, Mac propaganda doesnt work on me at all. I am happy in PC land, plus my work is PC based anyway.

The only way we might ever get Mac, is if my wife will need it for graphic design sometimes later.
