Cool fact about the game:
I remember that alomone had started to translate this game a while back and that he managed to publish a patch for the japanese version of La Pucelle. I was keeping an eye on his progression, because I planned to get the jap version as soon as he finished translating it. Anyway..no need for that now
(Check http://www.ayashii.com/)
You should certainly check

It has 52 screenshots of alamone's translated La Pucelle.

From what I've been seeing, people are slowly realizing that another fine tactical rpg is coming for PS2. Since there's plenty more games like La Pucelle and Disgaea that were only released in Japan, I wonder if other "older" rpgs will make their way here.
I'm thinking: Namco's tactical rpgs "Venus and Braves", "Seven: Molmorth no Kiheitai", "Tales of Destiny 2".
According to gamefaqs Venus and Braves and Seven both seem to have been considered by Namco as potential US releases...(There is an entry for "Seven: Mallmorse's Cavalry Unit ")
Compared to Mastiff's other releases, La Pucelle should certainly do great and motivate them to keep it coming.
For the sake of completness I'll do some Cut'n'Paste so people reading this thread can get all the info about the game:
