I wonder what the plots are going to be?
Well, Apparently there will be not 1 but 2 sequels:
"Pirates of the Caribbean 2: When you can turn trilogies like Matrix & Rings into massive box-office earners, its no surprise that other franchises are trying to follow the format. There were two big $300 million+ hits of the Summer season - "Finding Nemo" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". Both are already talking about sequels, but today over at Variety, word came from the Bruckheimer camp that not one but two sequels to 'Pirates' might be on the way - the films shot back-to-back and released a few months apart. Its a bold move but still early speculation for now. As of this moment, Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott are busy working on the script of the second one whilst Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley & Director Gore Verbinski are all agreed to return for one sequel though no start date has as yet been announced. Still, sources for the trade indicate "they are pondering the possibility of back-to-back sequels, and negotiations have begun to secure the cast should the studio pursue that avenue". Thanks to 'JHBlade'."

Maybe Sparrows timbers ich and Orlando Bloom has to walk his plank.
I'll be first in line. (not for what I said above, the non-stupid version) Maybe not first... but I'll be in there somewhere.

Sequel to Finding Nemo? I guess I should've expected it, but cool.
I didn't see Pirates (regrettably). Does it really warrant a sequel?
Maybe this time the movie won't be 3 days long. With Disney, there's always a sequel.

Well the first movie wasn't open ended. It was an actual, you know, movie. Not an open ended piece of trash like trilogies are nowadays. Each movie, to be good, has to enclose itself (in my opinion). Like the original Matrix did.
Oh well. *sigh* Pirates was an amazing movie. It was entertainment up the ying yang. I just hope they don't make the next two movies a "saga" and just keep the light and fun like they did the first. Different adventures, same actors and characters, but not one big storyline.
