There were 3 good ones last year, at least:

2) Looks at pictures of who hired the dude to blow up CTU...

Yeah, we know the tricks of the 24 trade, and perhaps what to expect. But I'm trying not to overanalyze this season -- just trying to sit back, not second guess every plot line, and let them tell the story. I imagine there will still be a few shockers.

And I thought yesterday's episode did a nice job of picking up the pace on just about every front.

I thought it was an ok episode. The sense of the danger/urgency is still not there, but things are picking up.

Jack pulled himself together, and had nice fatherly talk with Kim Chase knows about Jack addiction, and I wonder who else will know about it by the end of the day.

Good to see Jack back in action, even though it was Chase who scored the first kill in the Season Jack needs to work on his firing skills, since it took him a little while to get the guy in the leg. Still Jack and Chase worked good as team, but now Jack send Chase to the desk job because of Kim. Nice speech about keeping Kim from wandering into danger by keeping her under his watch at CTU

I could live without Mexican soap scenes with Salazar brother and his girlfriend. I have a feeling she will kill Hector by the end of the season, cause he will do something to her father. Just a hunch.

Salazar is a better villian than his bro, and he is vicious. Nice scene of him provoking the agent by mentioning the death of his family. Want to see more scenes with Salazar, hopefully he will escape the prison and has one on one battle with Jack by the end.

Good to see Palmer stood up to his principles, and not authorize the steal of the book. His brother does it anyway, and now it left us with cliffhanger on what does it actually reveal about Palmers Doctor girlfriend. Any guesses?

I hated the part with ANOTHER CTU mole. Come on, after it was done TWICE in past seasons, I thought writers would know better than this. Dissapointing.

Now Kim goes around asking advices about her relationship with Chase. Its CTU not counseling center But thats our Kim.

Kyle kid is not that bad, he got into this fucked up situation to get money for his family, so I feel sorry for him. From the previews for next week his mom fucks things up BADLY though. I wonder if Jack gets infected and has to rush against time to get possible antidote from Hector or Salazar.

I've never watched this show before, but this thread is making me curious and really intrigued. It doesn't sound like something you can just jump into the middle of though. I see the possibility of the dvds in my future...

Block an entire two days off, grab the season one DVD, and shut yourself off from the world. Trust me, you won't stop watching until all 24 episodes are over. My roomate and I watched the 1st season in a 30 hour period. We would have done the same for season 2, but we watched that on a week by week basis on TV instead. The wait between episodes was/is pure tourture.

Best way is to do just that.

Rent season 1 and 2 DVD's and watch them all.

You really need to watch it in order, or by season 2 you'll wonder why someone is important or not around.

Good episode. The off one char and possibly kill one major player. Poor Tony, should have been paying more attention to things around him.

Jack still needs to g et his fix, and now one more person knows about his addiction. Chase is seriously pissed off, and running around acting stupid, because of his suspension/desk job given by Jack. See, thats what you get for hanging with Kim

Salazar is mean bastard, and he makes guard to kill the FBI(was he FBI) agent, but not before revealing the evil plan to him.

I am getting more vibe that Hector's gf will cause some fighting in the the family.

ANd great job Michelle to send the mole to track terrorist signal.

Hopefully, Tony will survive, I like him. But he will be definately out for the rest of the season

Oh, yeah, not much of Palmer, but he has the scene with Anne, and we get to know what is the fuss all about. Not a great move by Wayne trying to convince Palmer to pay off Anne's husband. I have a feeling, the bastard will turn on Palmer, and reveal that Palmer tried to bribe him.
