Chump.
I may not support SNK or whoever it is with my MVS purchases but I certainly sell a bunch of their console ports. The KoF games and MS3 all did quite well and I ordered them in copious amounts when you consider how tiny my shop is.
Never played Groove On Fight for ST-V but it doesn't seem logical to have cut frames. It's highly possible that the game is even native to Saturn. Have you researched this Recap? Gamefaqs only gives the year (1997) for the arcade release and shows 5/16/97 as the release for the Saturn version. I'm perplexed....
So I played Samurai Shodown 5 today. It's far better than I'd have expected. Are there any redrawn sprites for the older characters? Some of those guys just seemed to move with extra panache. The backgrounds are friggin exquisite and I just generally had more fun with this one than perhaps any to date. I think I'll have to get this when it becomes super cheapo.
I also, in spite of my newly dogwrecked vehicle, went and made Matrimelee my first MVS cart for over $75 It took a minute for me to get into it but now I'm overjoyed. The music is indeed out of this world. The cool thing about that is that in most every stage there's some sort of live show taking place with an animated band/singer/karaokeist right there in the background. On one kickass stage there's a jumbotronish TV in the background with some other fighting game being played by god only knows who. I'm glad I picked this up and I'd like to thank Robert Wallace of the Neo-Geo.com forum for hand delivering the shiny new yellow cartridge.
As far as what Playmore can do to appease a cranky asshole like me..... Well, embracing new hardware for one. I bet their poor artists and designers feel just like I do about the situation. I mean if this is the talent that gave us Marco Rossi and Mai Shirunai, just think what they could do if their imagination was the only thing holding them back instead of hardware limitations.
Also, I could be wrong, but it seems like this remake fad thing has made a few companies some pretty decent change. How about an Atomiswave Nam 1975 remake with 3D graphics. It'd only suck if Playmore let it. And I too think some expansion on the MotW angle would be cool. For me, it'd be more about the gameplay, but I know there's throngs of Garou junkies out there just waiting to get served some new story.
As I've said before, nothing is going to sully or soil what they've managed to do well in the past. Those games (specifically, the ones I like) are all classics. But I strongly believe we'll get the best they have to offer if they'd go ahead and change a few things up. It doesn't have to be a letdown for anyone. Nintendo changed hardware a few times but I still love my SNES and the Big N. Is this really any different?

PaCrappa, I believe Nakoruru and Rimiruru were redrawn. 3D Nam 1975...that could work.

I'm sure a few people have their own ways of spelling 'SNK' or 'SNKP' or 'S N K P'. I spell it S N K because that's how I've done it for so long. As far as terming me hardcore because it then yes I am indeed a hardcore S N K fan but, I'm not 'hardcore' to the point where I'm not blind to an honest opinion like Neo_Vet is.
Seriously, If you're going to pick at something so trivial at least try to understand it 1st instead of making quick judgements based on how other people spell it.

The ST-V game is from 1996. Do yourself a favour. Don't use Gamefaqs or KLOV for data consulting. Check this site next time: http://www.arcade-history.com/ It's not because I use to collaborate with them, but it's a much more reliable source.
I know not too many people say it, but having the SS version since 1997 and having playing the coin-op (not much, though) I can tell you some frames are missing. Anyhow, loading times make the port a boring experience nowadays.
so we should put spaces in any acronym?Originally Posted by BonusKun

So is it 1996 or 1997? That site says both. Just because it was copywritten in 96 doesn't mean that it wasn't released til 97. I'm not arguing with you on this, I just want to know the facts.
